  Kathleen McBride, Artist

"The richness and purity of color achieved with the use of glass to create art is unmatched in any other medium I have encountered."

In the process of experiencing an assortment of hand forged arts, Kathleen discovered a kindred connection to fire and glass.   Her explorations of glass began with fusing and slumping glass in a kiln and later she added lamp (torch) work resulting in the sculpting of unique glass jewelry.   Her original wall and window glass creations include both decorative and functional pieces.  They span a range from casual to refined elegance and she strives to reflect her heart in each piece.

You can find her work on display at Bill Zaner's Art Haus in the heart of Boerne on Main Street, and at Artisans at Rock Hill Gallery on Hwy. 290 east of Fredericksburg, Texas near the Wildseed Farm.  Some of her work can also be seen at the Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau offices.  Kathleen McBride is a native Texan raised north of Galveston in Dickinson, Texas.  She now resides in Boerne where she raises and homeschools her daughter Chloe.  She is a is an active member and  of the Boerne Area Artists Association and the Cibolo Arts Council in Kendal County, Texas.
